recovering overwritten? capture scratch folder
Students were sharing a computer. Four projects saved in individual folders on the desktop. Second group failed to set system settings and used the settings of the first group. First group’s capture scratch folder now contains a folder for the second group. I understand that FCP does not allow for two capture scratch folders in a single location. What does it do the the original and is there any way to recover it? Oh, no autosave, no backup. Thanks

The .mov files are gone. Can you reload from the EDL?

That’s what I feared Chris. Thanks for the confirmation. reload the clips from the EDL or the browser is there a quick way to set up the batch capture so that the clips an time codes get loaded automatically or do they have to go through the list, one clip at a time? Thanks.

Select all clips and then “cntrl” click and select batch.
