  glueing (?) multiple clips together

  I have a single clip which I am looping by copying and pasting multiple times in the timeline. (in order to gain a much longer segment of the same item) What is the best way to glue or merge them together so that a new longer clip can be created and easier managed with filters etc? Or perhaps there is a better workflow to accomplish what I need???

  In the audio world, we call that type of technique merging soundbites or regions, but I see merging in FCP is for merging multiple levels of composite video.

  Two ways that I use.

  ‘Nest’ that sequence into a new sequence, then apply filters and make adjustments to that clip
  or
  QuickTime export and then reimport that back in.
