Slide show (Snap Shot) effect
Posted by Russell Castagna on October 11, 2010 at 9:14 pmI would like to make a video where the stills are introduced into the timeline with the same effect that itunes uses in its snap shot slide effect. Has anyone done this and do you know if there is a plugin for the effect.
Thanks

October 12, 2010 at 6:22 pmI’m not sure what you are looking for but is this it?
CoverFlux is a free plug-in that does a scrolling still look. Take a look at it and let me know if this is what you are after?

Thanks for your quick reply -

October 12, 2010 at 10:13 pmIt has been a while since I’ve used iPhoto, I don’t even have it installed on my computer right now. Anyways, maybe I’m not understanding what you want, but if it is one of the Slideshows they can be exported out to different movie formats. Apple has a tutorial on it. Go down to “Enjoy a few choice memories” and there are two video in that section to watch that will cover how to export the slideshow out of iPhoto so you can import it into FCP:

Hope this helps and best of luck.
