  • Converting FCP formatted .MOV to PC compatible format

Posted by Samuel Smith on September 23, 2010 at 9:55 am

I have some FCP DVCPRO HD .MOVs that I need to work with on my PC. I’m visiting a friend with FCP to convert them, so I’d like any advice on what the best comparable exporting option would be. I’m hoping for some FCP users to tell me what to export it as, so I’m not dumb struck by the different options when I’m front of it. Ideally, the highest quality I can get is what I want, as long as it will play on a PC since these are the only raw files now. I haven’t used FCP, so please fill in what you assume I’m trying to say if this doesn’t come out right. It’s just another thread trying to get the best quality, without knowing how to do it. Thanks.
