    Hi,
This is my first time here, so apologise if what I ask seems simple. I’m very much an amateur and am actually using FP Express (hope that’s ok). Some help understanding something if I could.

I’ve just done a music clip for the place where my wife works (first 5 years of photos to music, shown to staff at a dinner). This was to be shown on a large flat screen so I created it in widescreen format. Looked ok in the project and then exported it to a Quicktime movie. When played on my MAC all ok, played as a widescreen movie.

However, when I dropped it into an iDVD project for burning to DVD, it played back as a vertically stretched, 4:3 movie!

I finally got around it by exporting it as an AVI movie and using this instead. The project eventually went ok, but I don’t understand what was happening – any thoughts/help appreciated.

I’m in Australia, so the files are PAL. The MOV file is listed as 720×526, whilst the AVI does not give that info.

    Thanks

I’m not familiar with iDVD, but look for a pref or option that tells the app the DVD is 4×3 or 16×9.
