Which encode for YouTube?
What’s the latest thinking as to what codec settings to use for something to be uploaded to Youube, for best quality?

For SD I do 640X480 or 640X360 depending on the aspect ratio

Call me lazy, I like using the Share… function of QT X. Share -> YouTube and go.
Judging from the quality of results, and taking a look at videos exported from QT X for using on AppleTV and seeing how they are keyframed and what bitrate they have, I think Apple has put a bit of effort into making these presets really work.
