  Capturing from DVR deck – problem

  Hi
  When I try to capture from a DVR deck to Final Cut, I cant see the video in the computer, when pressing capture, it tells me that the device must be in D T R mode or something like that, and that it cant execute the command couse there’s no video. The settings in Final cut are all in PAL and Firewire, as that is what I use. There is no mode switch on the deck.
  Any advices?

  Don’t know what DRT is but if the DVR is not recording TC and does not have deck control you need to set the device control to “Uncontrollable” and then use Captured Now.

  The other thing that it could be is if the box is a cable DVR and has copy protection embedded FCP will not copy it.
