FCP “position tool”
Lately, I have had some trouble with the position tool in FCP. Before the problem, I would drag the clip into the timeline and FC would “automatically” line the clip up with the previous one perfectly. Now the other day I was tinkering around with capture settings and I must have done something I shouldnt have and now it does not line it up automatically. I have to line it up on my own. its really annoying and I would love it fixed!!

Sounds like you used to have Snapping turned on and now it’s turned off.
Simply turn it back on and the clips will snap to the tail of the previous shot.
