Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy No sound when scrolling through clips

  • No sound when scrolling through clips

I recently got a laptop and the latest version of Final Cut Pro installed on it. After importing audio and video clips into it, I tried to sync them up. However when I scroll through the audio clips on the timeline with the arrow keys, there is no sound. I hear sound when I use the j and l keys but not when I use the arrows. What is wrong? How come I can’t hear sound? Do I need to uncheck something? Thanks.

    View Menu > Audio Scrubbing

i think its the view menu, anyway.
i always use the shortcut Shift S.

you must have hit that by mistake. happens all the time!

    other accidental keystroke mishaps are:

W toggles the viewer & canvas through “wireframe” modes and can leave you with a black screen.

Shift W toggles the viewer & canvas through “rgb” modes and can leave you with a white screen.

    cheers,
    nick
