I need to be able to work at 24p film speed, resolution is less important. We’ve tried encoding HD 8bit uncompressed, DVC Pro and Apple Pro Res, all files playback on the Final Cut monitors but on the plasmas the image is not displaying correctly, I have the image cut off by 1/3 on the left hand side of the TV screen, although it does play…

    Please advise!

    MacPro
    FCP 7
    Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme
    32 inch Toshiba Plasma

What is the resolution of the sequence?

If its HD and 24p, then the BM card should play it fine out of the HD-SDI output.

Hi Neil, managed to get the output problem sorted. In the BM preference pane under settings, all that needed to be done was to activate ‘use 1080p not 1080PsF’ Previously we were getting the image filling only 2/3rds of the screen.

    Thanks for your post

    Sean
