HELP! HELP! HELP!..hi everyone please can someone help me out? ill tell you how..i have been lucky enough to stumble into to t.v industry and am learning cameraman/editing work for outside broadcast for a sky channel that films/edits and produces motorcyle racing…my problem it that i have an apple powermac g5 with osx leopard and final cut pro studio 2 BUT the tutorial dvd i was given is for final cut pro 5 and its like trying to fix a bently with a skoda manual lol..so does anyone know where i can get/download a tutorial dvd for final cut pro studio 6? any anyother programmes etc that will help me learn the system/progamme as ive only ever worked with windows and dont want to let the opportunity that ive been given to slip away…any usefull help and advice would be very much apprieciated..thanks. paul

You buy them. You might be able to find some free short tutorials but nothing complete.

Sounds like you need to invest some time and money into some proper training.
Look into the peachpit books or lynda.com

Oh and FYI in the name if the studio bundle is Final Cut Studio there in no Pro in the Studio name.

Final Cut 5 was included with Final Cut Studio 1. The differences between the two are nothing you need to concern yourself with yet. The basics are almost exactly the same. Go ahead and use your FCP 5 training material. As you gain more knowledge and experience in the program and its capabilities (and limitations), you’ll stumble across some of the newer features in FCP 6 (such as FXplug effects) and you’ll be able to figure out how to use them.
But, please please please; When you get stuck follow the following steps, in order, to get unstuck.
1. Consult Manual
2. Search the Cow
3. Ask the Cow -
I Absolutely agree with Dennis.
You can learn a 90% of FC 7 with a manual of FC 4.5.
