    hi all
sorry if my questions are a bit stupid i know very little about video.
    So i have a avchd camera {canon hf200]
i want to edit the video in fcp5 which i have
i have been doing the conversion in imovie
or alternatively i could get toast 9 and convert it in that.

would there be any difference in quality?{between converting in toast/imovie]
what way should i setup fcp5 to deal with my imported video?

where is the best place to go to start learning about this stuff?

my final aim is to have these videos on a dvd which will be sold
and viewed on computers/tv’s is there pitfalls i should be aware of.
    thank you
    ror

    Hi Ror,
FC5 is much older than the AVCHD codecs.
FC supports these codecs from FC 6.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

With FCS3 released, I don’t think FC6 is for selling now.
