    Hello There,

Can I edit my FCP prefs to have it open the last project I worked on?
I figure I can just enter the path to the last project opened in a pref file.

I have the checkbox checked in FCP User Preferences (to open the last project), but FCP NEVER reopens my last project on launch. I am using FCP 6.0.6, Mac OS X 10.5.8. The project type is a SD type project, with still images on the
    timeline.

    Any tips?
    Eric

You have a problem if that’s not happening for you. The default behavior is to open the last project. Did you trash your preferences?

    All the best,

    Hello Tom,

I do have a problem. I have also trashed my preferences.
It still does not open the last project I worked on. I do have
the checkbox set for the default condition.

I will admit that it is a real pain going in and redoing all the prefs
as well (scratch disks, etc). I have a program which “saves” the preferences, but I did not use that program. I manually deleted the preferences (using Larry Jordan’s method). I am assuming that there are only 3 we need to delete. I forget what they are at the moment.

It would not hurt to remind me! I am using FCP 6.0.6 and FCS 2.0.
    Thanks,
    eric

The three pages are the ones to delete. Or get Preferences Manager from Digital Rebellion. It’s free, though the whole Maintenance Pack, of which this is a part, is very much worth having.

    All the best,

    Hello Tom,
I will check out the maint pack. I do have FCP resuce, but…
who knows. The maint pack sounds interesting.

    Thanks,

    eric

FCP Rescue hasn’t been updated in a while and doesn’t work recent versions of the OS.
