  shot stabilizer?

  I did a search. I thought it would be pretty common. I’ve got a trucking shot that has a little shake to it at the end. Is there an effect/plugin that could help with this?

  The shot is 1080 x 1920 and will be imported in a SD 720 x 480 project. That being said, it’s okay if we do away with some of the extra pixel information in order to stabilize the shot.

  Any ideas?

  Thanks Dave. I’ve never used the motion tracker to stabilize a shot. I’ll go do some reading.

  You could use AE’s motion tracker as a stabilizer… but, that is pretty time consuming considering you can get a relatively inexpensive software in combination with a pro-level NLE to do this for you.

  Look up ProDad… Mercalli (sp?). This is by far the best and easiest stablizer I have found (even better/easier than using the “AE and motion tracking” method (…well,let me correct that by saying…Mercalli is the best except for one other motion stabilizing software but it is VERY expensive… and, not worth mentioning if you get ProDad’s Mercalli).
