  Video Capture Card question

  I hope this is where Im suppose to post this but not sure.

  If I dont have an aja or black magic type of capture card, where is the capture card in my system. If the graphics/ video card only is sending and output to the monitors, where is the capture card? I capture using hdv cameras. this is really bugging me 🙂

  final cut pro 6
  g5 dual 1.8 , 4 gig ram maxxed out
  OSX 10.5

  if you capture via ‘firewire’ through your camera or other firewire equipped device, no capture card is needed. Good luck!
