  exporting 25p HD footage – PROBLEMS!!!

  Hey there,

  Been looking on the forum and cannot locate the appropriate post.

  So this is my beef.

  Ok. I am editing on Final Cut Pro 6, using a a Canon HV30. I am shooting PAL, 25p and importing in to Final Cut using the easy setup HDV 1080i50 (i am also using 1080p25 and it is coming to the same frustrating conclusion).

  I edit my footage etc, then when I come to export (and I am using a number of methods – H.264 / HDV/ None/ ETC ETC ETC) when i view it in quickview or Quicktime, it is not playing properly. it jitters and then just stops.

  I know this is really simple, but im a bit of a newbie. SO…..

  Basically, my question is what import and export setting should i have set up? I am filming at 25p and will be exporting for DVD, web etc.

  I know it can change depeding on the project and what I intend to export for, but I at least want to work…..!
