    Hi Guys,
I’m probably being a little bit stupid here but how do I trim multiple tracks or audio or video or both at once without having to select each individual track and trim them one by one? In Premiere it will trim any piece of media you have selected simultaneously by the same amount but I can’t work out how to achieve the same in FCP. I do a lot of rejigging clips with four or more audio tracks and I often end up dragging each of the audio tracks to length individually which is frankly getting a bit irritating. I would have thought that the edit selection tool would have done the job but I can’t seem to get it to simply trim multiple tracks the same amount. It does a nice line in trimming 3 of the 4 tracks the right amount and extending the fourth by the same amount but that’s not what I’m after.

I’m pretty sure I must be being a little dense but I can’t work it out. I hope I’ve explained my problem clearly enough. Let me know if not and I’ll try to clarify.

Cheers for your help! Love the cow.

    Jez

link the tracks using the ‘link’ command, or shift l….once linked all of the tracks will respond to your trimming.

And there you have it, simple as that…Really should have thought of that.

    Nice one Dino, Thanks!
