  FCP plug ins interchangeable with AE plug ins?

  Hi, I’m new to this forum and mostly new to FCP, so be nice, I apologize ahead of time if this seems like a dopey question.
  I’m being told that plug ins for FCP and After Effects are interchangeable and the same ones are usable in both programs… is that true? If so that seems like a huge advantage over having to buy separate avx versions for your NLE and AE…
  Now it is quite possible I have been misinformed by the misinformed, so I thought I would ask some folks who would actually know the answer.

  I’m not sure if all plug-ins work with both, but many do. Usually the developer’s site will say one way or the other.
