This question might seem basic but I really need to know and no one seems to know. I am editing a project for school and I was told that it was shot in 16:9 so I set my capture presets to Anamorphic 16:9, but after watching the footage I realized that it was shot in 4:3. Will this affect my picture being that it was captured at a different setting then it was shot at? Thank you for any help!

    You have two choices Brittany:

    1. recapture everything

    or

    2. go into the FCP browser and uncheck the anamorphic checkbox on all clips

    I’d take the #2 personally…

Oh, and make sure that you uncheck the anamorphic checkbox in Sequence>>Settings before adding anything to the timeline.
