I was helping a friend with FCE, there where stero layers that are five layers apart. She wanted to bring the lower audio up under the first track. I first tried deleting unused tracks, but because they are linked didn’t happen. I thought I could unlink them, drag up to sencond track. They wouldn’t unlink. I know how it happened. The problem is solved for the future. Out of personal interest I would be interested in learning how to fix this if it should happen again

Most likely you first need to switch off the stereo pairs. Opt-L, then you need to unlink them, Cmd-L, then move them together, then relink and switch on stereo pairs if you want. This is the same in FCP BTW.

    All the best,

    Tom
