    Hi,
    could anyone able to give me a brief difference between capture & sequence presets?
    If i shoot in XDCAM EX 1080i50, my capture presets should be the same too? pls advise..

    Yes and no. 1080i/50 is really 1080i/25 so depending on how you’re setting up FCP, you will see one of those two settings. 1080i/50 is 50 fields to make up 25 frames of video per second which is why you see both of those settings in FCP sometimes.

    The best way to make sure your Capture and Sequence Presets are the same is by using the Easy Setups. Final Cut Pro > Easy Setup and select XDCAM 1080i/50 (or 1080i/25 if it shows up that way).

    This automatically sets up both the Capture and Sequence presets to that format. Now if you already have a blank Sequence 1 in your project when you do the Easy Setup, delete that Sequence and create a new one. It will retain the original Sequence settings from when you opened the project.
