  How to change the “snapping” settings?

  I want to change my snapping settings. I think its a snapping issue. When I delete a clip on my timline, all the clips after that clip slid in to fill the gap. I would like to be able to simply delete a clip and leave an open gap. How can I adjust this? Thanks!

  Nothing to do with snapping. You’re pressing the forward delete key, not the simple delete key You want the one next to the equals sign.
