  Exporting sections of a larger timeline

  I have compiled a number of clips on a time line in final cut. I would like to export from 1:30 to 2:30, 2:31 to 3:30 and so on…to create different clips in .mov
  How would i go about doing this?

  Mark In and Out points in the timeline. Export. Mark new In and Out points. Export that. If you want to batch export, copy the contents between marked I/O sections, into new sequences, and then batch export.

  Thanks for the prompt response

  When i mark in and out it still exports the entire video
  Must i select something when i export to make sure it sure does the highlighted region?

  Are you exporting quicktime movie, compressor, or quicktime conversion. If Quicktime movie, make sure it’s set at “current settings”, no markers, and check the box next to make movie self contained. Import the resulting file into compressor and use that to make your mpg, h.264, etc.
