  FCP won’t write timecode

  I’m exporting to tape and it’s not sending timecode to the tape.

  I’ve tried doing both Print to Video and Edit to Tape. In the Edit to Tape window the insert timecode button is highlighted.

  I’ve also tried different ways to set my camera (that I’m printing to) to accept timecode. I have a JVC GYHD100 and it’s been set to both regen and rec.

  I’ve also tried the “black and code” button to write code, but it’s not writing anything.

  And then lastly I’ve tried writing code to the tape via the camera and then Edit to Tape using that but as soon as it’s engaged it writes 00:00:00:00 for the timecode from then on.
