black box around SOME clips in sequence (but not all)
Sorry if my question is answered somewhere else. I have searched for this on google and this forum but I kind of don’t know how to explain it and therefore don’t know exactly what to search.
I’m new at this. So basically, I haven’t shot any footage myself, I have downloaded ten mpg4 files from youtube and am setting in/out points and putting a few seconds of each clip together in a sequence with transitions.
My problem is that everything looks fine in the canvas, but when I export to quicktime, there are black boxes around SOME of the clips. Some clips look fine, but then when they transition to other clips, those clips are smaller in the quicktime window and are surrounded by black if you know what I mean.
I have read on other forums that this may be related to incorrect project settings, but this doesn’t make sense to me. How could I possibly set the project settings to be exactly like the settings of all 10 of these quicktime videos. I am sure they are all different settings. Do I have to convert all the quicktime videos to match my project setting in Final Cut Pro? And if so, how would I do that?
I’m not even sure if I am using the right setting right now. I picked “DV-NTSC”
These videos will be going on the web (youtube). Is this the correct setting for videos intended to be shown on the web?
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!
