i’ve at now only FCE. i’ve just bought a Z7E and trying to work with, i need always render before anything else after conversion with streamclip. is there a way to avoid rendering in FCE choosing a specific conversion or export option on streamclip?

    thanks

Why are you using Streamclip? The Sony Z7E (unless you mean a different camera) is an HDV camera and you should be able to use the capture function to bring in your material in the correct format. If you’re having trouble capturing

Please give your full system specifications, what computer, what drives, what camera or deck, how everything’s connected, what settings are on the media, what settings you’re using in Final Cut, and finally what version of the software, of the OS, and of QuickTime are you using?

    All the best,

    Tom

Using Final Cut express 4.0.1 i can’t install plug in distribuited by sony for Z7E that is for FCP.
    i’ve a intel dual ore 2.66 with 5Gb ram and 256mb video card .
the camera is Sony Z7E but files are M2T, so streamclip can convert them to mpeg but when i insert in the time line they need render.
instead i’ve seen on FCP that i’d use sony Log and transfert version directly to import files in.

if other infos are needed… i’m here. thanks.
