I have two projects on two different external drives. I have brought a sequence from Project B into Project A. However, I want to bring the media clips associated with B into A as well so all of the project is on one drive. Is there a simple way to do this?

    Thanks!

Somewhat – its called the “Media Manager”. The options skew more to the ‘powerful’ side, rather than ‘simple’.

That said, you should read up on the Media Manager in the manual before using it. It can process your footage in a destructive fashion.

    Here’s a quick walk-through:

In the Browser, select the sequence that you want to Media Manage.

    Right-click and select ‘Media Manager’.

    Under ‘Media’ select ‘Copy’

Select ‘Include Render Files’ (if you want)

Select ‘Include Master Clips Outside Selection’

De-select ‘Delete Unused Media From Duplicated Items’

Base Media file names on ‘Existing file names’

De-select ‘Duplicate selected items and place into a new project’

Chose a place on your desired external drive as the ‘media destination’

Then press ‘ok’- Final Cut will copy the all of the media used in the sequence to the specified drive.
