    Hi guys.

I barely know anything about FCP but I’ve been editing a video on my laptop, with everything stored on an external hard drive, & managing to deal with it okay.

Now I’ve connected that same hard drive to my main computer & opened the project in FCP on that machine but many of the files are now colour coded red (as in “unrendered”).

    Why is this?

All the files pertaining to the project are all in the default folders created by FCP on the external hard drive.

Just in case it’s important, I noticed yesterday that the V1 track is showing as green but the V2 track that I’ve been hacking about on top of it (to change camera angles by hiding & showing V1, basically) was showing as a pale grey colour. (“Rendered proxy” I guess.)

So, I don’t know why this was the case but it worked fine & I don’t understand why the bits that were pale grey are now red.

    Can anyone help?
