  Copying clip to timeline

  So I have a clip in the viewer that has multiple shots I need. I mark in and out and overwrite to timeline with the keyboard shortcut, the timeline is then activated. I then have to click on my viewer to activate it again to continue with the next shot. Is there anyway to make my viewer the default active window after an edit like this? Please tell me there is a way.

  Either drag the clip to the canvas edit overlay. That will leave the viewer the active window. Or if you use the keyboard shortcut press the Q key to make the viewer the active window. Q will toggle between the viewer and the canvas.
