Hello, I am a FCP newbie and I am attempting to key out the white on a still image.
I double clicked it, which sent it to the viewer, where I applied the color key filter but no matter how much I mess with the settings on the filter it makes no difference to the image on my timeline. This is driving me nuts! What am I doing wrong? thanks!

    Final Cut Pro 6.0.4
    Macbook Pro OSX 10.5.4
2.6 Ghz intel core 2 duo
    4 GB memory

Highlight image in the timeline and apply the filter, then double click the image. If I was trying to key out the white in an image, I would use the Luma Key. But that’s just me.

    Just like you remember it…
    maybe better.

I’ve tried those steps and the filter gets applied but no matter how much I mess with the filter settings nothing happens to the clip. Any ideas?
