  • fcp-livetype: insufficient data when apply transition

    fcp 5.1.4
    livetype 2.1

When i make a graphic in livetype, then try to import it to fcp (whether it is the .ipr or the .mov)
fcp tells me there is insufficient data when I try to make a transition from one graphic to the other. I’m forced to put black in between the graphics before doing a transition and that isn’t the look I am going for.
Is there a solution or am I doing something wrong. Tried making sure in points are in long segments (7-8 sec) before saved in livetype.

I believe you’re trying to start the transition before the start of your LiveType media-which is why FCP is giving you the error. Make the LiveType longer and trim the beginning of the clip until you have enough for the transition.
