  Audio drop when footage captured?

  Hi all,

  weird problem I’ve got here – I just started using a Canon GL2 from a place I work and they had an XLR-mini adapter so I had a mic set up and shot a brief interview.

  Levels, while recording, looked good peaking around -4

  Levels, while in Log and Capture, looked good – capturing the files with Mono1/2 option

  Though once captured the VU meter reads them as like -35 or 40 even and I can barely hear the audio. The waveform looks small, but no -40 small!

  Any ideas on what’s wrong?
