    Ok, Maybe whaat I did was digitize with anamorphic selected…. If I remove anamorphic from the clip properties is falls into the correct shape. So forgive me for not being so technical but I thinkI am jsut begining to understand anamorphic. Anamorphic must mean fitting the widescreen image sidde to side inside a 3:4 aspect ratio?

    Correct. You just have to tell FCP how to display it and what type of sequence to display it in. If the material was shot anamorphically you want to set that up in capture, if you don’t you can do it in the browser after you capture. You also want to make sure you’re editing into a correctly set sequence, so the sequence is 16:9 and looks widescreen in the canvas.
