  Can you combine sequences from two FCP projects?

  I know this is a totally rookie question,
  but I have a huge project I am working on.
  (28 hours of video and growing).
  I am bogging down my ancient G5 single processor with
  lots of bins and quite a few sequences.
  If I open a new project with the same settings,
  and then open my working project at the same time,
  can I;

  import from one project to the other?

  cut and paste from one project to the other?

  drag a timeline from one project to the other?
  (ducking from oncoming flames)

  open both projects

  create a new project

  tear away the browser windows from the two existing projects.

  Drag whatever you want to the new projects.

  Close the original two projects.

  Edit away.

  Hi. I have a question I’m hoping you could answer- editing an HD timeline- either
  108030p or 108060i; I’m looking at two sequence settings:

  1. Frame size 1280×1080, Aspect Ratio 1280×1080 (16×9)
  Pixel aspect ratio 1280x 1080
  editing time base 29.97

  OR

  2. Frame size 1980×1080, Aspect Ratio HDTV 1080i (16:9)
  Pixel aspect ratio Square
  editing time base 29.97

  Which one should I go with. thanks. p.
