  Streamclip problems

  Greetings,

  Ive been wrestling with streamclip,fcp and DVD Studio Pro, can’t seem to get anywhere.

  I am converting 10 different DVD clips from different disks to the time line with Streamclip.

  From Streamclip I select “Export to Quicktime and set compression to Apple FCP Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2.

  When imported to time line;

  Time line plays great.
  Plays good in compressor.
  Plays fine in Studio Pro.
  Plays good on my computer DVD player

  When I play on a set top DVD player there is some shake in 2 out of the 10 images. the rest seem fine.

  In Streamclip I have been selecting the 720X480 unscaled frame size thinking this will yield less conversion.

  Do I need to set a frame rate?

  Any thoughts why this might be and what I can do about it?

  Grateful for any help.

  I have nticed this with streamclip as well. I believe that this has to do with I and P frames in an Mpeg 2 stream.

  The only way this can really be avoided would be to capture the clips through a video card.
