  Playback issues – urgent!

  Hi,

  I am working with Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ) files (Converted from the new Red Camera) in a effects heavy piece – on each shot is a basic motion effect and (to be added – a black and white filter). When I was logging the footage it played back perfectly.

  Now that the edit has started, playback has been stuttering and stopping. Now the sequences won’t even play (including the ones that played fine previously- with no effects added) It simply shows the frame that you started with and then the frame that you stop on.
  It comes up with the usual Turn off RT unlimited (tried both unlimited and safe – no diff) warning.

  I am working on a G5, with a kona 2. Project settings HDTV 1080i (16:9)

  This is what I have tried…

  -nesting the sequence
  -closing all other sequences and applications
  -mixing down the audio
  – turning off ‘mirror on desktop’ in av settings
  -using disk warrier to rebuild the drive
  -taking the project to a different computer that is the same speed, but has emptier drives to render to
  -won’t let me change the sequence quality

  Any ideas would be hugely appreciated!
