  Audio Only Edit to Tape

  I need to do an edit to tape with audio only and no video. There is closed captioning on the video track, so I must be sure that FCP doesn’t send any video signal to the deck.

  I’m primarily an avid editor and FCP does not have audio/video assignments like the avid digital cut tool. Is there a similar function somewhere in FCP, so i can be sure no video signal goes out?

  try turning off the video layer. good luck
