  • duplicate license on network…..

So I have multiple FCPs in our facility…I opened one up and got the multiple license in use on the network error…only problem is all of our FCPs have specific licenses, and the only one who has the license with all the install disks is myself.
Now I know you can copy the license from the about page, but without the install disks, it is useless…any way to get rid of the license and re-install it…maybe the system needs a refresh…

Well in order to get that message the activation key must be in use by another machine. I would go and check all the other machines and make sure that thy are not using the same key.

I had a boss once that thought he would save money by only buying one FCP for several computers (Not the only dishonest thing he did) We then could no longer share files over the network, because only one of then could be connected to the network at a time.

wireless network? maybe some one has ‘obtained’ a license and you can easliy obtain install dmgs from the web. I would also do the fallowing, 1 disconnect ALL the other comps from the network (or shut them down) than turn your station on (the one with the license problem) open up fcp. Then systematically go one by one until you run into the problem machine. If this doesnt work, Do a clean install of fcp and re enter the serial. If this STILL doesnt work, call apple
