    Hello My Helpful People,

In FCP I am animating a long horizontal picture panning into the frame and out of frame in the end. It takes approx 15 seconds to pan. I set a key frame at the beginning and one at the end in the motion tab. Though I get weird interlacing type issues as I watch the playback and I’m not sure why. It’s hard to watch. Does this makes sense to anyone? I wish I could upload an example somehow.

If you have any insight let me know.

    Thanks!!!

    Some things to try:

Rendering the effect. (is the bar above the clip blue? if not you need to render it to see what it will really be like)

Slowing down the pan. Sometimes if you pan too fast it will look really jumpy.

Change the sequence settings to field dominance – none. (might do something for you)

Do the animation in Motion or AE. (FCP has never been great at animation)

Also change motion filtering to Best in Sequence Settings

Try to avoid decimal points in scaling
