Basic Fp question about capturing
Hi guys, I am a faily new FCP user and am trying to capture my video from a VX2000. For some reason in the capture window there is no media. The video plays fine on the cam, but the capture window on my computer is greyed out. I have just loaded leopard, but I can’t imagine it would be creating this issue. Any help would be muchly appreciated. thanks 🙂

Trash your preferences. Connect the camera. Launch the application. Does it see the camera?

Dumb question, but where are my preferences located ?
I think it must be leopard, because even imovie can’t see the camera most of the time. I say most, because every so often it sees it. Wierd. Using FCP on my imac with tiger works fine. -
Did you reinstall QuickTime? Did you upgrade to Leopard? I’ll only guessing because I know nothing about your computer and you’re not telling us.
