• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Graphics card: Final Cut Studio 2 + older G5

  I have an older G5 that was purchased in 2004 (before the PCI Express slot upgrade) with an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card. I recently installed Final Cut Studio 2, and think that I need to upgrade the graphics card in order to get good performance out of Motion and especially Color. Apple recommends the ATI Radeon X1900 GT, but this is a PCI Express card that is not compatible with my machine. Can anyone recommend another PCI (not PCI Express) card? Thank you.

  Visit ATI and NVIDIAs website…. they both make cards that are fine

  you should be able to find a 128 mb card for that type of slot
