    Hi,

    latest Mac Book Pro
30 min multicam edit a and b cam
    shot in 30 p

origionally digitized via “capture now” with capture settings as interlaced so the image looked awful (should have been progressive).(There is a GREAT post about 30 p on the cow).

So I changed seq settings to none, did a new “capture now” with progressive capture settings. image looks fantastic. I did not do a batch capture off of the timeline. Is this the correct workflow? I do not have the camera to try this at present time which is why i amtrying to figure out another way. Lost many hours and it is due.

My really basic question is what is work flow to reconnect media to 2nd capture of correct capture settings and is capture now something to avoid at all costs? Because the entire edit is off by 3-4 frames now and it is not a consistant number, nor is it consistant with a and b cams.

these are the steps i took:

    1. multicam sequence — made all clips go offline
    2. did not collapse multicam edit
    3. clicked on offline clips in sequence and browser to reconnect to the progressive captured-now media.
    4. I did not batch capture. I did capture now for the progressive capture settings and then tried to reconnect to edit.

It did reconnet to the new progressive media– however there was an error message noting that the media start and end points wree different. I tried to go through each edit from the first source media, and compare it to the sequence with the second source media but it was horrible to have to go to each cut and use the roll or slip tool, compare timecode, etc..move 4 frames up, but thebn the cut is at a different poijt in the timeline..

    1. is there a way to adjust timecode in the browser so you can reconnect a second batch of media that was captured using capture now ? I attempted this to no avail.
    2. is the only answer to select the clips in the sequence and do a batch capture?

I have read that multicam is not working perfectly in fcp 6 on apple forums…. but do not think this is the real problem here.

Thanks for reading my basic question.
    Hope it makes sense.
