I can’t get my waveform to show up in the timeline of my sequence. The options “show audio waveforms” are selected in both the global prefs and the sequence settings, but all I get is blank green with regularly spaced X’s. The audio track is in wav.

This project is an import from (PPC) Final Cut Express HD to Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 . It’s running on a MacBook / Intel / OSX Tiger.

Can anyone advise me on troubleshooting?

Trash your waveform cache. Open the project and wait for the waveforms to writer before you start working in the timeline.

    All the best,

    Tom
