  cant create gworld error

  I have a nasty error that keeps poppin up with my file that says can’t create gworld. Then after Effects suddenly crashes. It just started and i have gone back to previous files, but the problem remains. The only effects on the scene are a combination of Color balance, Hue and saturation, exposure, and curves. No third party. I saw the thread on changing color space, but have no idea what color space that user used to fix the problem. So far the ones i’ve used aren’t working. Any ideas or work arrounds would be greatly appreciated. From what i researched, I have yet to find anything else on this with the exception of some gamers and quicktime users.

  “NM folks…i changed the colorspace under project settings, and it seemed to have fixed…i have no idea why. maybe it was trying to sparse the preview thumbnails in a weird color mode that was throwing an error….oh well hopefully others can learn from my mistake”

  nevermind…re-reading your post I see you’ve already seen that.

  I recently built a pretty complex comp in AE using very huge solids in “3d” space, a bunch of lights and a camera. Occasionally, I would get similar errors (I’m using a PC, so no gworld)…however, I found by using lower quality and magnification settings as well as the draft 3d, I was able to work better.
  Since the error seems to be related to graphics rendering and memory, maybe something similar might help.

  thanks man, I appreciate the help big time. I’m still trying to figure work arounds, I have now tried the previous suggestion with every option and opened the file on multiple machines, with 2 different videocards, one being a dual core duo and the other amd’s latest dual core. . . both pretty unsuccesful . . .still trying tho, and thanks for the link to wikipedia.

  Did you ever find a solution to this problem? Its happening to me and absoultely killing me. $10,000 job with a deadline in a few days and this is happening. ARGH.

  Cant find a color space that fixes the problem.
