  Multicam edit in FCP5 with mixed codecs

  I shot interviews with two cameras. The HVX 200 shot in DV50, 480p and the Canon GL2 shot on tape at DV25 4801. When I try to open the two clips in FCP I get an error message saying the formats must match. Does anyone know a way to do multiclip editing with mixed codecs?

  Capture all of the media to one codec.

  Or transcode existing media to one codec. I make all the DV25 DV 50.
