I would like to switch off my DSR 40 deck, while leaving the Mac running, but the Mac doesn’t like that. I know how to switch off internal & external drives, etc. How can I disconnect the deck while keeping Mac happy? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

When you say “happy” what exactly do you mean?

I’m not being facetious, although I think it sounds that way. If you are more specific about what it is the causes you to describe the mac as unhappy, you are more likely to receive a helpful answer.

    Best,

    Tom
