My wife just bought herself one of JVC’s tiny hard disk camcorders. I can’t seem to connect it to a Firewire port on my computer, and when I try to save the contents of its hard drive via my USB port, the video is saved in some weird format that FCP doesn’t recognise. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Try MPEG Stream clip and see if that will convert the files.

    All the best,
