no PREVIEW checkbox in the log and capture window
Hi-
I have searched the forums and other resources about audio previewing in the log and capture window. I see that people have suggested the ‘preview’ button, which seems to be off by default.
Problem is that there’s no ‘preview’ checkbox in my log and capture window.
If I press ‘capture now’ it seems to work OK and there is audio on the clips. But I can’t hear anything during viewing or capturing.
I checked the obvious things on my computer like volume and sound settings and things seem ok.

That’s because it’s not in that version. It was introduced in v5.

Thought I was losing my mind…
So is there no way to hear the audio while looking at incoming TV in the log and capture window? -
You should monitor it from the deck. You can go into the capture preset and in the advanced audio settings turn it on, but it’s not recommended, especially if you don’t have a very fast computer.

Thanks. My work-around solution, in line with what you’re saying, is to hook up a pair of self-powered speakers to the ADVC110 audio out, and listen that way. I appreciate your info.
