  • Where are my sequence files?

Posted by Leah Chapman on October 16, 2006 at 5:56 pm

I had a few projects opened at the same time and must have saved a couple of sequences in the wrong project. I’ve tried looking for the sequences in other projects, by using the FCP manual, by searching cow posts, and I’m stumped. Where does FCP store the sequences and how can I find my missing sequences? Thanks in advance for your help.

The sequence items are stored as part of project files. Unless you’ve deleted them they’re in one of the projects. They’re not stored separately on your hard drive.

    All the best,

Thank you for responding, Tom. If my sequences aren’t there when I open the project, how can I locate them?

    Locate your Autosave vault folder.

    Open it.

    Find your project.

The most recent version that the System saved will be in there.

It seems as though you might be opening the wrong or old version of the file.
