exporting movie files for DVD
I am editing with sequence preset of DV/DVCPRO NTSC 23.976 I have been quite unsure of how I should export my sequences to DVD. Do I use Quick time movie, Quick time conversion or using compressor. Which type of settings do I need for DVD in order to play on any computer or DVD player. I have had problems using compressor MPEG-2 which playback fine on my mac but it was jerking on other computers as well as a portable DVD player. So far I just use crash recording from the G5 to a pioneer DVD recorder, but the the images looks really flat and washout. Anyone can help me out?

That’s not going to improve.
The DV output to the Pioneer should be full quality.
But to answer your question, just Export using QT Conversion (do not click the box that says “Make moive self-contained.”)
Then just drop that Exportedn ew file into iDVD or other DVD burning software.

Thanks for the advice! Could the image be inferior because of the pioneer burning process? or the quality of the DVD-R??

I think you meant to say Export to QuickTime Movie.
